I had my new lens delivered from the US a few days before the race, and took the opportunity to shoot the boat race myself. Unlike the Plum Pudding Race, I got the white balance right for this occasion. It is quite a pleasure having to shoot and edit my own subjects — it allows the editor to also be the narrator. There isn't a lot to be said photographically about eight guys paddling furiously on a piece of fiberglass (cricket is arguably more photogenic), but I find the coxswain-rowers relationship quite an amusing story. Lens: 70 mm-300 mm. ISO 400. Time: 10.30 am - 1.30 pm. Sunny. Home  Coxing
